JCPenney.com guarantees to get your order there by Christmas Eve if you order by noon EST on December 22nd and select 2-day delivery. Order by December 21st to get $10 flat rate express shipping. JCPenney also has men’s outerwear on sale at 30% or more off select items.
December 21st is the cutoff for Walmart.com online ordering and you have to use rush shipping. There are some items you can order online and still pick up in the store the same day. Walmart.com has full details and a wide selection of items.
Amazon.com has 2-day shipping and Next Day shipping available by Christmas. However, many items are supplied by outside vendors and the guarantee may not apply to all of them. In certain situations, you can actually get local express same day delivery even on Christmas Eve.
Macys.com is still guaranteeing Christmas delivery, but only if ordered by 5PM EST – tonight! They even packed their web site with a one day only sale on women’s clothing (over 50% off original price), men’s clothing (50-65% off original price), and other items.
Nordstrom.com has an even tighter deadline – items must be ordered by 3pm EST to get FREE Christmas Eve delivery. There is no guaranteed delivery if ordered after this time.
Several stores are not guaranteeing shipping anymore, but may still deliver on time. Store web sites have details, so items may still be available to ship if ordered today. Best Buy shows shipping delivery dates of December 24th thru December 26th; they recommend finding the item in the store. Target doesn’t even mention being able to ship by Christmas at this time and there have been some grumblings about their warehouse being a little slow.
There are still some big outlets shipping by Christmas, but the clock is running out!
