The Samsung Galaxy S3 ‘Ultrafast’ is now available on Three UK.
The device runs on the carrier’s DC-HSDPA 3G network.
The carrier is looking to gain an edge over EE, who recently announced plans to expand its 4G LTE coverage to more cities.
The device comes with a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos processor, a 4.8 Super AMOLED display, 16 GB of internal memory, an 8 megapixel back camera, microSD extension support, and is loaded with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
The features are the same as other variants of S3 in UK, with added LTE speeds being the only upgrade.
The device may not be as fast as on the 4G LTE offered by EE, but it can go up to 20 Mbit/s. The phone is 4G ready, and will work on Three’s 4G network when it’s launched.
The carrier is offering two colors; Pebble Blue and Marble White.
Three UK’s ‘Ultimate Internet 500’ plan is £29 upfront and £34 per month.
Their ‘One Plan’ cost of £29 upfront with per month charges of £36.
Both these plans require the signing of a two-year contract.
Another option is to go for the £449 SIM-free version on Pay As You Go, which offers a selection of add-ons. One of the add-ons is ‘All In One’, which costs £15, and provides 300 free minutes, 3,000 text messages and an unlimited monthly data usage.
