Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo And Xperia Pro Released

The Xperia Play was not Sony Ericsson’s only new release at Mobile World Congress. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and the Xperia Pro were also unveiled to eager crowds at the tech-athon in Spain.

The Xperia Neo and Pro are practically the same device- fully functional 3.7 inch touchscreen that can display 16.7 million colors at 854×480 pixels. The only difference between the two handsets is that the Pro features a physical slide keyboard while the Neo has a digital keyboard.

Controls on the side of the handsets includes a power and volume control, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB ports and a MicroSD slot.

The keyboard on the Xperia Pro is spacious enough to be used comfortably without risking cramped fingers. It is set up just like a PC keyboard, complete with a spacebar below the bottom row of letters.

Both the Xperia Neo and the Pro feature the 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 320Mb internal memory, patented Sony Bravia graphics engine, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, music functionality and an 8Megapixel internal camera complete with HD video recording capabilities.

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread is also featured on both handsets.

Both models also support 3G networks and are quad-band GSM enabled for international use.
