Skyfall To Hit Theaters 11/9 – Adele’s Theme Song Out Tomorrow!

James Bond in SkyfallThe 23rd James Bond film, “Skyfall”, will be released November 9th, 2012.

The plot revolves around M’s past and Bond’s loyalty to her.  The trailer hints at a stolen list of embedded MI6 agents whose lives are now in danger.

Daniel Craig is Bond, Judi Densch is back as  “M”,  and Javier Bardem plays Bond’s nemesis, Raoul Silva.

The “Skyfall” theme is written and sung by pop star Adele.  According to the official 007 site, the song will premier on Adele’s site October 4th at 7:07 PM EST ( This is October 5 London time).

October 5th marks the 50th anniversary of the “Doctor No” film and is James Bond Day. The Best of Bond, 50 years and 50 tracks will also be available for pre-order on October 5th.  The single disc will feature the 22 theme songs since 1962.

Commemorative books, CDs and DVDs will be available to celebrate the franchise anniversary.  NPR’s Madhulika Sikka reports that the book: James Bond:  50 Years of Movie Posters is now available. The book is written by “Skyfall production designer, Dennis Gassner and Alastair Dougall.

On September 15th, John Cox of thebookbond.com reported that the book had been pulled due to copy errors.  As of 3 October, the book is listed as in stock and available for $27.17 new and around $20 used. The complete Bond film collection is already available on Blu-ray and can be purchased for $165-$170.
