Rizzoli And Isles: New Episodes Out Nov 27

Rizzoli And IslesNew episodes of Rizzoli and Isles premier November 27, 2012 at 9/8c.

In the summer finale,  Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon)  and Dr Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) solved the mystery of women encased in statues, found out that Maura’s new suitor was a serial killer and had a baby left on the doorstep.

According to TNT, the new episodes will feature a murder during a revolutionary war reenactment, a case involving the Salem witch trials, a professional basketball murder and a surrogate mother’s dilemma. Guest stars include Ernie Hudson (Oz, Ghostbusters)  as Detective Frost’s father and Fox commentator Bill O’Reilly as a murder suspect.

The series is based on the works of author Tess Gerrittsen.

Though the series is about the work of the Boston Homicide Unit, the heart of this story is the friendship between the two female leads, Rizzoli and Isles.

The latest Rizzoli and Isles book, The Last To Die, came out in August 2012. It is available on Amazon for between $5.55 and $16.85 in hardback. The Kindle edition is $13.99.  Tessgerritsen.com carries mugs for $11.95 that say “What would Maura do?” or “What would Jane do?” as well as shirts and hats that are priced between $15 and $20.

The new episodes will find the crime fighters in new and unusual situations. Will you be watching?  Do you think this show has staying power? Leave your comments below!
