Paul Konerko Returns To White Sox For 3 Yrs/ 37.5 Million

The Chicago White Sox have confirmed that the team has reached a 3 year/ $37.5 million deal with first basement Paul Konerko.

The team had already begun searching for a replacement as they were very near losing Konerko to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Arizona had offered the player a 3 year/$30 million deal.

In the end, he chose to stay with the team he has played for since 1999. With ties to both Arizona and the White Sox it was uncertain where Konerko would end up playing.

Konerko is a four time All Star player. He was ranked fifth in the AL MVP voting last year. In 2009 he batted .312 with 39 home runs and 111 RBIs.
