New York Jets Don’t Want Braylon Edwards – Titans, Vikings, Bears, & Redskins Might

The New York Jets are currently searching for a veteran wide receiver. The Jets have decided not to re-sign Braylon Edwards.

According to a New York Daily News report, putting Edwards back on the team is no longer a consideration. “It won’t happen,” a source told the newspaper.

Santonio Holmes, Brad Smith, and Edwards were free agents coming out of the NFL lockout. The Jets re-signed Holmes, and Smith moved on to Buffalo.

According to Music City Miracles, Gary Myers of New York Daily News tweeted last night that the Titans are interested in former Cleveland Browns and New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards.

Gary Myers tweet read: “Interest in Braylon Edwards from #Vikings, #Titans, #Bears and #Redskins.” The Titans seem to be a late — and somewhat surprising — addition to this list of suitors. The intrigue builds.”

Edwards had a great season in 2007 when he caught 80 passes for 1,289 yards and 16 touchdowns. His number hasn’t been that high-scoring since, but were still solid in 2010.
