She became known for her role in the court case that landed Lindsay Lohan in jail and a 90 day rehab stint, but Judge Marsha Revel has stepped down from the Lohan case at the request of the prosecutor.
The judge was accused of having communicated several times with involved parties and failing to notify the district attorney’s office. She has been replaced by Judge Elden Fox of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
No one believes this will affect the 90 day rehab stint that Lohan is currently undergoing, but that doesn’t stop the defense from being happy with the results. A source that wishes to remain confidential noted that the defense was pleased.
It had become obvious recently that Revel had seen as much as she could of Lohan and this resulted in requiring an alcohol detection bracelet be worn while awaiting her hearing.
Last month the decision that Lohan had violated probation on 2007 case led to a 90 day jail sentence followed by the 90 day rehab at a facility chosen by the court.
Immediately following the trial Lohan reported to jail on July 20 but didn’t make it past August 2nd when she was released and led straight to rehab.
