TLC (The Learning Channel) announced the reality show Kate Plus 8 would be cancelled upon its 150th episode. The show formerly titled Jon & Kate Plus 8 was renamed in its sixth season to Kate Plus 8 following the divorce of Jon & Kate Gosselin. Jon has been lobbying and even taking his wife to court to get his children off the show; he’s relieved by the announcement of the cancellation.
Kate is planning her next move already, looking at running a production company of her own. Kate feels she has a pretty good idea of what will work and can see the show’s pitched to her in her imagination as if they were in production.
The show followed the now single mother, Kate, along with her eight children (a pair of twins and a set of sextuplets). The show began production as Jon & Kate Plus 8 after two specials featuring Jon & Kate aired on Discovery Health. The reality show began airing in April 2007. All the seasons of Jon & Kate Plus 8 are available on DVD and episodes are also available on iTunes Store and Amazon Instant Video.
