Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have launched a new ad campaign for their Kardashian Kollection wearing some of the most intimate pieces of the collection. The Kardashian Kollection is on sale for 30% off at Sears and (for one day only).
The Kardashians have come under more controversy for how one press release (actually a private invitation to select members of the press) was worded than anything they wore in the advertisement. Due to the Kardashian preference for spelling every word starting with a K that should start with a C, what should have been an innocent invitation comes out with some unfortunate wording.
The invitation said:
Hi, I hope you are doing well!
Kourtney, Kim and Khloe personally invite you to join them in celebrating the launch of the Kardashian Kollection. Join the stylish Kardashian klan on September 6th at the private studio of the legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz for an exclusive preview of their fabulous new fashion Kollection for Sears.
** Please note: RSVP to (excerpted) no later than Friday, September 2nd as space is limited.
The spelling of ‘klan’, instead of the correct spelling ‘clan’, has been used as a reference to the KKK in the past.
The picture released for the print ad was taken during a May 20th photo shoot this year documented in a video at Elle.com. The photos were taken by fashion legend Annie Liebovitz, pushing even more name recognition into the Kardashian Kollection ad campaign. Annie Liebovitz is the celebrated and sometimes scorned photographer behind many recent high-profile celebrity photo shoots.
The 30% off sale at Sears,.com and the stores include all items in the Kardashian Kollection including women’s clothes, intimates, hosiery, handbags, jewelry, sunglasses and shoes. The 5-15% additional savings is only good through midnight tonight.
