Golden Joysticks 2014: 1.5m Votes and Counting!

Time to for the cream of the crop in gaming to rise above the rest, for Golden Joysticks 2014 is in full swing!

This year’s Oscars for gaming have already accumulated 1.5 million votes as of September 29; just under three weeks since voting was opened to the public last September 3.

This is the second straight year that digital game retailer Green Man Gaming will sponsor the Golden Joysticks.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 24 at the IndiGO2, located in London’s O2 Arena.

Game streaming service Twitch has also partnered up with Golden Joysticks as its official media partner – and that it will live-stream the whole awards ceremony.

This year’s categories include:

• Best Original Game
• Most Wanted
• Best Indie Game
• Best Visual Design
• Best Multiplayer
• Best Audio
• Best Gaming Moment
• Best Storytelling
• Best Online Game
• Best Handheld Game
• Best Mobile Game
• Platform of the Year
• Studio of the Year
• Innovation of the Year
• Personality of the Year
• Game of the Year
