Galaxy Tab 10.1 Available Through Sprint On The 24th

A few hours ago Sprint announced that they are going to sell Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi only versions starting June 24. Customers can get their Galaxy Tabs in different ways, like buying from website, physically from the stores, or via telesales.  But whatever the way might be, customers will have to wait till July 24 to get their hands on the world’s slimmest tablet.

Sprint is following a plain strategy towards all kinds of tablets which they have recently released. Similar to BlackBerry PlayBook and Motorola Xoom, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will not be available from Sprint with any other connectivity options like 3G or 4G other than Wi-Fi. Actually it’s the same model which is now available in the Best Buy stores. Sprint has set a price tag of $499.99 for the 16GB version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. There is no word on the availability of the 32GB version yet.

Though there is no mobile connectivity available, Sprint is recommending Novatel Mifi or Overdrive Pro 4G mobile hotspot for use with this device which really makes a great pair with the Galaxy Tab. The expected changes from the available version of Galaxy Tab and the Sprint version may be some preloaded apps only, as the press release shows completely identical specs as in the available Wi-Fi version.
