For all old-school gamers out there the news is going to come as an eagerly awaited moment. It is now official that Duke Nukem Forever is going to be released on the third of May. Both publishers, Gearbox Software and 2K Games, confirmed the date.
Duke Nukem Forever is the sequel to Duke Nukem 3D and is promising a lot for the fans of the Duke Nukem Saga.
Gearbox Software is well known for the Brothers in Arms and Borderlands series and they started work on the new Duke Nukem game last September. The game was supposed to be released under the management of 3D Realms, but the company closed in 2009.
According to Christoph Hartmann, 2k Games head, fans from all around the world have been waiting for the game and the wait is over. He also added that the Duke Nukem Forever game is going to “make video gaming history!”
Duke Nukem Forever is going to be pretty good to follow up on the success of Duke Nukem 3D, which managed to sell over 3.5 million units. Video game fans from all around the world can’t wait to put their hands on the new Duke Nukem first person shooter.
