‘The Walking Dead’ just had their panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 and during the talk-fest they debuted a trailer for season 6 that is sure to have everyone talking.
The video, which runs over 4-minutes, features a lot of zombies and a lot of action that gives fans a clue on what to expect after a riveting season 5 finale; you can see it below.
*Spoiler Alert* The following contains information about season 5, so those who are not caught up should stop reading NOW.
Season 5 ended with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) killing wife-beater Pete, who had accidentally killed Deanna’s husband with Michonne’s sword- just as Morgan found his way to Alexandria with Darryl (Norman Reedus) and Aaron.
Since then many fans have been speculating that season 6 will be all about choosing sides since Morgan, who appears to consider all life sacred (remember he didn’t kill the Wolves who attacked him), might have a problem with Rick’s actions.
Well, it looks like they might be on to something because most of the trailer shows Rick talking about why the people of Alexandria need to trust him, while various factions debate the issue.
There is also a clip of Morgan telling Deanna: “I know Rick, I can stop him… we have to.”
Whether or not that means exactly what it sounds like it means remains to be seen, but it supports the whole choosing-sides theory.
Morgan may not be the only one at odds with Rick either: in part of the trailer Rick tell Darryl that: “these people need help looking after themselves… do you feel differently?” to which Darryl responds: “yeah, I do.”
Could Rick and Darryl end up on opposite sides? Hard to believe, but we all know to expect the unexpected.
We also know to expect a lot of killing, which is also in ample supply in the video.
There are some spectacular, and gruesome scenes of walkers attacking- the only question is who are they devouring?
In one scene thousands of them are pinning a man against the gate to Alexandria and another clip shows a swarm of them ripping apart a woman as she screams, hard to tell who she is.
There are also quick glimpses of what appears to be a unending group of walkers descending on the gates of Alexandria.
One things for sure- the action appears to be going non-stop this upcoming season- I know I can’t wait for October.
