Bravo Pet Foods, located in Manchester, Connecticut, is recalling select lots of its cat and dog foods due to a possible Salmonella contamination.
This recall includes the Bravo Blend Chicken Diet For Dogs & Cats 2-lb. chub (UPC 829546211028), the Bravo Blend Chicken Diet For Dogs & Cats 5-lb. chub (UPC 829546211059), the 5-lb. bag of 8-oz. Bravo Blend Turkey Diet For Dogs & Cats patties (UPC 829546315085), and the 3-lb. bag of 4-oz. Bravo Balance Turkey Diet For Dogs patties (UPC 829546314019), all with a best by date of 11/13/16.
The 2-lb. Bravo Blend Chicken Diet For Dogs & Cats chub is the only product that has tested positive for Salmonella. The other three products are being voluntarily recalled out of caution because they were manufactured in the same facility on the same day as the contaminated product.
No illnesses or deaths have been reported in animals or humans in association with this recall.

Pets who have been infected with Salmonella can experience some or all of the following symptoms: diarrhea (possibly bloody), decreased appetite, fever, lethargy, and vomiting.
Carriers of Salmonella can infect other pets and humans, so it’s imperative that owners contact their pet’s veterinarian immediately.
