ASUS Transformer Tablets – Now #2 In Tablet Sales

Looks like ASUS is making a move aimed at being one of the most successful Android tablets around. ASUS Eee Pad Transformer tablets can be hard to find in the stores now as the supply of these tablets is very low from the beginning. But no more!

ASUS CEO Jerry Shen says that he expects a total of 300,000 tablets to be sold this month. He has also informed that ASUS shipped around 400,000 new Eee Pad Transformers in April and May. This is a really impressive figure by the Taiwanese company who are already successful in motherboard and other markets. The new Eee Pad Transformers are also blessed with Android Honeycomb 3.1 which fixes a number of bugs prevailing in the Honeycomb 3.0 tablets.

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer came under the spotlight for its unique design, which gave users the ability to ‘transform’ their tablet into a laptop using the keyboard dock. In addition to that the keyboard dock adds 8 more hours of battery life to the existing 8 hours of battery life of the tablet which makes the $400 tablet the most adaptable all tablets out there. The only product that nears this price is from Acer which is not getting equal attention in the market.

This shipment brings Eee Pad Transformer tablets in the second position in the tablet market by the number of shipments, and of course there is no need to mention that iPad 2 holds the first position. These newly available Eee Pad Transformer tablets are expected to bring 10 percent of the total revenue of ASUS.
