Ubisoft has released the official trailer for “Assassin’s Creed 3,” the next in the Assassin’s Creed series of action games.
Assassin’s Creed is set in different historical settings. The plot revolves around a struggle between the Assassins, or Secret Order of Hashashin, and the Knights Templar. A man named Desmond Miles, who lives in modern times, uses a machine called an Animus to view and control the genetic memories of his ancestors.
The first “Assassin’s Creed” game took place during the Third Crusade in the Holy Land. “Assassin’s Creed II” was set during the Renaissance. The next in the series, “Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood,” is a continuation of “Assassin’s Creed II”. And the fourth of the series is “Assassin’s Creed: Revelations,” which combines the characters of the previous games into one storyline as Desmond Miles lies comatose, trying to sort out the different personalities.
“Assassin’s Creed 3” is the fifth in the series and, as can be seen in the new trailer (below), takes place during the American Revolution. The game is set for release on October 30, 2012 and will be available for use on the new Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs.
