It’s do or die time in the 2015 NHL playoffs.
The Washington Capitals and NY Rangers square off in game 7 of the conference semifinal round live from Madison Square Garden tonight.
The Rangers, after falling behind 3 games to 1, fought their way back and now have the chance to eliminate the Capitals and advance to the next round with a win here. The Capitals are trying to avoid an embarrassing upset after being on the verge of winning.
Here is everything you need to know:
Game Time: 7 P.M. (EST) on the NBC Sports Network (NBC SN).
While streaming is free, to access these services you will need to log-in using a participating cable provider.
Predictions: The Rangers have a lot going for them here. In addition to a strong shift in momentum in their favor, they are 9-0 when facing elimination at the Garden since 2008.
The Capitals, on the other hand, are 3-11 lifetime when their backs are against the wall, but have history on their side: teams with a 3-1 lead win about 90% of the time, according to The Puck Report.
However, that means 10% of the time the trailing team has won ( 27 times to be exact), so anything can happen.
I’m predicting the Rangers make it 28 for the trailing team and win this one 3-2.
