What to Watch – Paralympics Day 6

The heart pounding action continues in and around Sochi today.

As the halfway point of competition nears, fans can enjoy a variety of action online and on television.

The overnight coverage switches its focus from skiing to wheelchair curling. Coverage will be broadcast from the Ice Cube Curling Center.

Wheelchair curling is similar to its able-bodied counterpart. Instead of sliding down the ice however, the stone is delivered from the player’s stationary wheelchair. As in the Olympic version, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

Among the matches scheduled for today, the United States will take on China. Coverage of the event is on NBCSN from 1:30-4:30 am.

NBCSN will also broadcast daily coverage from 3-5 pm.

Fans who want to take in the action online can watching streams of their favorite events on TeamUSA.org.

Among the events that are scheduled to be shown today are both alpine and cross-country skiing events as well as coverage of the curling matches.

The Laura Cross-country and Biathlon center will host a variety of events today. The first broadcast of the day will begin at 2 am with the men’s 1 km sprint qualifications for the sitting division. The United States will be represented in this race by three skiers.

The women will also compete today in the 1 km race. In the sitting sprint qualifications, the United States has two skiers.

Fans can follow these races and more on TeamUSA.org.
