The competition continues in and around Sochi today.
Day two of Paralympic competition gets under way in one hour. The overnight live coverage on NBCSN will focus on the Laura Cross-country Ski and Biathlon Center.
Athletes will compete in a variety of events while at this center. As in last night’s alpine competition, the discipline of cross-country skiing is open to athletes with a variety of impairments.
Sit-skiers will be in the spotlight this morning. The men will work to complete a 15 km course. The United States is well represented in this race with six skiers including the first starter of the day Bryan Price.
As the men work to complete their course, the women will work through a 12 km course.
Once again the stars and stripes will shine brightly. There are four ladies competing for the United States in the race.
Included in this group is Tatyana McFadden. If the name sounds familiar, she won a gold medal in the 2012 Paralympic summer games in London, as well as last year’s New York City Marathon.
Coverage of the cross-country skiing events will run live on NBCSN from 1-5:30. The network will also broadcast events tonight from 11 pm-1 am.
In addition to the coverage on NBCSN, fans can check out the action streaming on TeamUSA.org. Among the sports that will be broadcast here are matches in wheelchair curling and Team USA’s second sled hockey game of the tournament. After a victory Saturday, the US will face South Korea at 4:30 pm.
