‘The Walking Dead’ and Father’s Day- a Winning Combination

‘The Walking Dead’ and Father’s Day- a Winning Combination

Shoppers struggling to find the perfect Father’s Day gift can rest easy. Children interested in more than the usual Dad of the Year kitsch  or run of the mill necktie can register for the Remember Dad with the Dead Sweepstakes at the official The Walking Dead store between now and 11:59 PM | 10:59 C on Sun., Jun. 15.

According to AMC, one lucky dad will win  an officially licensed The Walking Dead survival kit, The Walking Dead: The Best Defense board game, a The Walking Dead card game, a Carl Grimes action figure and a Pop! Television Rick Grimes vinyl figure.

Nothing says, “Dad, thanks for all that you do- I’d be lost without you,” like a post apocalypse care- package. Surely dads are among the millions of viewers who tune in every Sunday to watch the saga of Rick, Carl, and the rest of the Grimes Gang. This may be just the tonic for dads everywhere who need to ease those pesky Walking Dead withdrawal symptoms.

As usual, details for the coming season have been closely guarded. Sure, actors and show creators give us tasty season five teasers, but none have satiated our curiosity or answered any of our questions. Until that blessed October night, you can give Dad something to ease his cravings.

Good luck to all who enter!  What will you give dear dad this Sunday? Are you anxious about the show’s return? Feel free to share your gift ideas and Dead love in the comment section.
