The Hamburglar Returns In Time To Help Sell New Burger

McDonald’s is reintroducing an old friend to help promote a new trio of burgers. The Hamburglar returns in a new 30 second advertisement that reveals his current whereabouts.

It seems that the Hamburglar has spent the last 13 years well. He’s settled down, become a father, and apparently learned to dramatically flip hamburger patties.

McDonald’s new Sirloin Third Pound Burger is the reason for his return to food-related crime. All it takes is a mention of the new product to bring him back to his old roots.

The Sirloin Third Pound Burger comes in three variations: Lettuce & Tomato, Bacon & Cheese, and Steakhouse. All three burgers will only be available for a limited time.

The Hamburglar was last seen in 2002, making his return a very unexpected move. Making the new burgers his target will definitely help sales, as his redesign alone has completely captivated Twitter.

Interestingly enough, last time we saw Hamburglar, he was in cartoon form. Reviving him as a human only reinforces McDonald’s modern approach to advertising.

Nevertheless, Hamburglar’s next move lies shrouded in mystery. Could he be planning a reunion with his old friend, Ronald McDonald?
