The Funky 2015 Nissan Juke – Refreshed and Unique

Since its launch for the 2011 model year, the Nissan Juke has always drawn attention. The unique looking CUV has a face you either love or cringe at.

For 2015 the Juke retains the same exterior dimensions but has received a facelift. New projector headlights and LED accent lights rest high up on the front fenders lending a sort of crocodilian squint.

The grille has been updated also, to incorporate the new brand-wide “V-motion” look, which with the addition of new trim below the bumper, adds a more sporting presence.

The door mirrors now come standard with integrated LED turn signals, and the rear end has also had a minor nip and tuck, to better blend with the new taillights.

Nissan has added a lot of new technology, both standard and optional.

Now the standard features include: Intelligent Key with Push Button Start, RearView Monitor and NissanConnect with Mobile Apps – including a 5.0-inch color display, USB connection port for iPod interface and other compatible devices, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, Streaming audio via Bluetooth and Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant.

Additionally there are 2 options packages to choose from.

The Tech package gains you Navigation, mobile Apps, a Rockford Fosgate sound system, AVM and MOD.

The Cold Weather Package adds heated cloth seat and heated exterior mirrors.

The Juke uses the second generation 1.6L Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) turbo inline 4-cylinder engine, which is harnessed to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

This updated version of the 1.6L has been refined to offer better responsiveness, lower emissions and better fuel efficiency.

What has not changed is the power output; it creates the same 188 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, but will now deliver an estimated 28/32 mpg city/highway.

The 2015 Nissan Juke is available in 10 models – S, SV, SL, Nismo and Nismo RS – all of which are available as FWD or AWD.

In the Nismo models, the FWD versions use a 6-speed manual transmission, and the AWD versions make use of a paddle shifted automatic.

The Nismo RS model receives a steroid injected version of the 1.6L DIG that pumps out 215 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque.

Both models feature Nismo body kits, 18” alloy wheels, and sport suspension.

Whether it makes you smile or cringe, with prices that start at $20,250.00, this unique CUV is worth checking out.
