The Breakfast Club Back In Theaters For 30th Anniversary: Times and Showings

‘The Breakfast Club’ is back in theaters for 2 days only to celebrate its 30th anniversary and fans are lining up to join the gang one more time in detention.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, along with Fathom Events and BY Experience, will be showing a restored version of the 80’s classic on Thursday, March 26 and Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 8:000 p.M. (EST) in 430 U.S. movie theaters.

In addition to showing the film there will also be a featurette with interviews from cast members Judd Nelson (John Bender “the criminal’), Anthony Michael Hall (Brian “the brain”) and Ally Sheedy (Allison “the basket case’) and commentary from filmmakers Diablo Cody, Amy Heckerling and  Michael Leahman.

For a list of theaters in your area that are showing the film you can go to Fandango’s site, which also has tickets available for purchase.

Written and directed by John Hughes’The Breakfast Club’ first hit theaters on March 5, 1985 and became an instant favorite with teens and young adults (myself included).

The movie followed 5 high school teenagers (Nelson, Hall and Sheedy, along with Emilio Estevez and Molly Ringwald) as they sit through a day of detention and discover that although they seem to come from different walks of life they are really all the same.

30 years later the movie is still as popular as ever thanks to its timeless message that helps teens everywhere feel a little less alone.
