Target Recalls Circo Night Lights For Fire Hazard

Target is recalling 143,000 Circo night lights because the battery can overheat, melt the night light, and cause a fire.

In addition to being battery-operated, the nightlights also came with an AC adapter.

Two people have reported that their nightlights overheated, one of which caused a fire and melted the customer’s wall, wall plug, and a nearby dresser. No injuries have been reported to date.

The recalled nightlights include various objects and animals including a blue bird, pink hedgehog, green shark, orange dino egg, yellow rocket, and a white soccer ball.

They were sold at Target stores and Target.com from October 2014 through May 2015 for approximately $15.

Model numbers can be found on the night light’s bottom side.
