Suave: Keratin Infusion Leave-In Conditioner

Suave: Keratin Infusion Leave-In Conditioner

As someone with severely damaged, dry, and brittle hair, a leave-in conditioner is a must-have in my beauty regimen.  In-shower conditioner just isn’t enough to give my hair the moisture it needs.

I’ve tried several leave-in conditioners.  Here is the main problem that I’ve found with most of them: they wash out too quickly.  I have to apply an excessive amount after every single shower.

I’m not sure if Suave has reformulated their lines or if my hair has just changed over the years, but I used to hate Suave products.  I despised them.  I thought they were low quality and felt like they left my hair feeling malnourished and uncooperative.  That all changed fairly recently.  I picked up a dry shampoo (reviewed here) as well as their Keratin Infusion Leave-In Conditioner.

This leave-in conditioner has me hooked.  Not only does the conditioner leave my hair feeling soft and smelling incredible, but it lasts.  I usually apply this in my hair after every other wash.  Maybe it’s my imagination, but for me, I don’t feel like I need it with every single wash.  It feels as if it soaks into my hair and truly nourishes rather than putting a coating on my dry and damaged hair, falsifying a soft look and feel.

There’s another perk to this leave-in conditioner: it has heat defense.  I have thick hair.  However, I don’t like to put a lot of product in it.  So a leave-in conditioner, heat defense spray, and whatever styling products I’m using is far too much product for me.  I love that this product does both without weighing down my hair.

The directions say to apply a dime-sized amount to damp or dry hair, but I don’t like directions (I don’t like being told what to do).  I use a larger amount, probably about a half-dollar-sized amount (keep in mind – I have extremely long hair) to my soaking wet hair right after I get out of the shower.  I’ve found that this works wonderfully for me and it protects my hair from the heat of my blow dryer, something that heat defense sprays can’t normally do due to the fact that you apply them on dry hair.

Overall, I’m really in love with this product.  It’s inexpensive, running less than five dollars, I think it’s worth a shot.  For more information on the product, visit Suave.com.
