Star Wars Episode VII May Have A Working Title

Star Wars Episode VII May Have A Working Title

The title of the latest installment of the Star Wars saga may have been let out of the bag.

At the very least, the film’s working title has become public, according to a report from Ain’t It Cool News. That particular blog is claiming that the working title of Star Wars: Episode VII is The Ancient Fear.

The title is apparently a reference to the film’s villain, who will be played by Max von Sydow.

Last week, von Sydow was announced as one of several cast members for the new movie who will be joining several actors from the original Star Wars trilogy, including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.

In addition to von Sydow, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, and Andy Serkis are among the actors joining the Star Wars franchise for Episode VII. The cast is not yet complete, but the lead actors are expected to begin filming The Ancient Fear later this month.

Of course, even if The Ancient Fear is the working title used during filming, there’s no guarantee that will be the title when Episode VII hits theaters on December 18, 2015.

Even though right now it’s only rumor, what do you think of the title The Ancient Fear?

What do you think it might mean for the plot of the new Star Wars movie?
