Tonight on Fox’s American Idol Season 12, the Top 3 finalists are announced.
It’s a big night for the final 4 contestants as Host Ryan Seacrest explains that similar to seasons in the past, the remaining contestants who make it past tonight’s cut, will all head back to their hometowns to perform for their friends and family.
The evening was filled with a slew of guest performances. Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook performed his new single “Laying Me Low.” So great to see him back on the Idol stage isn’t it?
Cook was the first Rock contestant to actually win the competition. His unforgettable Idol performance of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” will forever be imprinted in our brains.
Will.i.am also took to the Idol Stage to perform his new single “Bang Bang,” while last night’s mentor Harry Connick Jr. returned to perform his new single “What Every Man Should Know.”
OK, now let’s get down to results!
Ryan announces that the first person who has made it to the Top 3 and will go back to visit their hometown is Angie Miller!
The second person making it through to the Top 3 is Candice Glover!
This leaves us with Amber Holcomb and Kree Harrison in the bottom two.
The last and final contestant who made it to the Top 3 is Kree Harrison.
Amber Holcomb is eliminated from the competition! We are definitely sad to see Amber go! She melted our hearts last night with her rendition of “My Funny Valentine!”
Are you happy or shocked with tonight’s elimination? We want to know! Leave your thoughts below!
