Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Available In Stores May 1st

Galaxy-Tab4-7.0Samsung’s latest series of tablets, the Galaxy Tab 4 line, will be available in U.S. stores starting May 1st.

Samsung announced the specs for its latest series of tablets a few weeks ago rather quietly.

The Tab 4 line will feature three models with almost identical features, except for the screen sizes and battery life.

The 7.0 screen comes with 4000 mAh, the 8.0  has 4450 mAh and 10.1 gives 6800 mAh.

All the other features are the same: a screen  resolution of 1280×70, quad-core 1.2ghZ processor with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of storage, Android 4.4 KitKat, micro SD and a 3MP front and 1.3MP back camera.

This line is being marketed for the more budget conscious consumer and are reasonably priced.

Consumers, however, may find these specs a bit lacking, especially  in comparison to other tablets in the same price range, like the Nexus 7.

The tablets will retail at $199 for the 7.0, $269 for the 8.0 and $349 for the 10.1.  They will be available at all major retailers, including Best Buy and Amazon.

You can pre-order any Tab 4 directly from Samsung starting April 24.

Spokesmen for both Best Buy and Amazon told News For Shoppers they had no information about pre-orders at this time.
