Quentin Tarantino Bringing The Hateful Eight To CO this Dec

Filming will being on Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight this December in Colorado.

The production has found itself revived after being shelved due to a controversial script leak in January. The leak would end up leading to a lawsuit by Tarantino, which was later dropped. On April 2014 a live table reading of the leaked script inspired Tarantino to begin some rewrites, and as of July the movie was officially back in-development.

Reports have come in that a large bulk of the filming will take place in and around Telluride, Colorado. According to the outlet, the Colorado Film Commission has granted a $5 million incentive to the production, which is reportedly budgeted at $44 million. Tarantino’s Hateful Eight will be the biggest production to film in Colorado since True Grit (1969).

Taking place in Wyoming after the civil war, the film will see a group of misfits and renegades trapped during a blizzard. As the night goes on and the blizzard rages outside a plot involving deception and betrayal begins.

Although there has yet to be an official announcement for the movie’s cast, most sources indicate we will see the cast from the live reading, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Walter Goggins, James Remar, Michael Madsen and Amber Tamblyn.

Production will begin December 8th and wrap 2015.
