Premier League Soccer In The USA – TV, Online, Radio & Bars

August is just around the corner, and that means it’s almost time for the 2014/15 English Premier League to kick off. If you’re a soccer fan living in the US, read on to find out how you can watch or listen as the season unfolds.

Being a baseball fan living in the UK, I’ve got a certain amount of sympathy for soccer fans in the US. Whether you’re a home sick expat or just a soccer nut, following the game can be a challenge.

While I can’t align the time zones or stop people telling you the score of a match you recorded, I can at least help with how and where to watch.

The English Premier League begins on the 16th August, and like last year NBC has rights to all the live games this season. Fixtures and times are available on the NBC website, and once the Premier League has kicked off every match will be broadcast both on NBCSN and online via NBC Sports Live Extra.

If you’re not a NBC subscriber (or feel like some company when watching the game) you might want to look at which local bars are showing Premier League matches.

British and Irish theme pubs are often a safe bet, but check before turning up in your full kit to avoid disappointment/embarrassment. You could also try using SoccerBars.com to find soccer friendly bars near you.

Finally, you could give up on watching and listen instead. TalkSport is a global independent broadcaster, and will be providing live audio commentary online for all the English Premier League games.

Hopefully this has helped to point you in the right direction, but if you’ve got any other tips for soccer fans why not share them in the comments section?
