NFL 2014: Monday Night Football TV Schedule/Streaming/Preview + Week 1 Scores

Monday Night Football kicks off this season with back-to-back games on ESPN, who has the rights to all Monday night games this season.

The action kicks off with the NY Giants, who will be facing the Detroit Lions in Ford’s Stadium at 7:10 P.M. (EST) on ESPN.

That game will be followed by the San Diego Chargers vs the Arizona  Cardinals game in the University of Phoenix Stadium at 10:20 P.M. (EST), also on ESPN.

Live streaming is available from Watch ESPN and Direct TV Sunday Ticket.

All NFL games can be seen using the Direct TV Sunday Ticket.  The Sunday Ticket requires a subscription, which starts at $199 and is available to all Direct TV customers.

Those who do not have Direct TV, but live in NY City, Philadelphia or San Francisco are eligible to purchase the service as well.

Watch ESPN is a free streaming service,  but can only be used with games shown on ESPN.

The big questions for the Giants will be the effectiveness of quarterback Eli Manning, who had a tough time mastering offensive coordinator’s Ben McAdoo’s new system .

Even with 2 Super Bowl rings many still question his drive and his talent-those questions will only get louder if he has a hard time during the first few games.

Detroit is far from superb, but they have a decent defense and a god pass-rush system.

Detroit wins: 30-20.

In the San Diego/ Arizona game both teams are on the rise so this should be an interesting battle, especially they played each other in the final game of the pre-season.

The Chargers have a newly rejuvenated Philip Rivers leading a killer offense, while the Cardinals are starting to gel after getting a handle on Bruce Arians complex, but effective offensive system.

This should be a tight contest, with the Chargers winning 28-24.

Here are Sunday’s scores:

Saints 34 Falcons 37

Browns 27 Steelers 30

Jaguars 17 Eagles 34
