Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation, Is Great Fun! [Review]

Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation, Is Great Fun! [Review]

Tom Cruise nails it again in Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation (aka Mission Impossible 5).

It’s a long movie, clocking in at 2 hours, 11 minutes, and the plot is complex. It starts and ends with some great action, but there are some slow moments as the story matures.

The main chase scene though – wow! It’s Bond-worthy, and worth the price of admission all by itself. Everything else is cake and candy.

Candy? Well, yes. That would be Rebecca Ferguson, who plays opposite Cruise (Ethan Hunt) as Ilsa Faust. Ferguson is awesome in this role. Mysterious… beautiful… good… and evil… or not?  She’ll keep you guessing ’till the end and maybe beyond.

Simon Pegg put in another great Mission Impossible performance as Hunt’s buddy Benji Dunn. Also back from previous Mission Impossibles are Jeremy Renner as William Brandt and Ving Rhames as Luther Stickel. Alec Baldwin jumps into the Mission Impossible series as CIA director Alan Hunley,

Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation is great fun. The plot is interesting, it’s exciting to watch, the music is great. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a Mission Impossible movie. There are no disappointments here.

For parents: Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation is rated PG-13. As you would expect, there is intense action and violence, a small amount of profanity, but no sexual scenes. The music and action are loud.
