Google Play Is Coming To Most Chromebooks

Google Play Is Coming To Most Chromebooks

At last week’s Google I/O 2016 conference, it was announced that some Chromebooks will start supporting Android apps.

Now, Google has let us know which Chromebooks are the lucky ones.

Starting this June, the Asus Chromebook Flip, Acer’s Chromebook R11, and Google’s 2015 Pixel will all get Android app support.

However, even if your Chromebook is not one of these three, you will still likely be able to use Android apps – as long as it’s not too old.

Over 50 models will get Android app support in the fall of 2016 – the full list is here. Older models are out of luck, as even’s Google’s own Pixel 2013 will be left out of the Android app club.

With Google Play support, you will be able to use your favorite Android apps on your Chromebooks, including office apps, Skype, and your favorite games.
