Google Glass is Getting Stylish

Google Glass announced last week that they have partnered with Luxottica Group to come up with a better eyewear design for Glass.

The Luxottica Group is a leader in the eyewear industry. Their brands include Ray-Ban, Oakley, Persol, and Oliver Peoples brands.

Many have complained that  Google Glass doesn’t look fashionable and had a cyborg design.

Luxottica stated that they plan to “establish a team of high-tech developers, fashion designers and other professionals devoted to working on the design, development, tooling and engineering of Glass products to straddle the line between high fashion, lifestyle and innovative technology.”

Glass and Luxottica have not disclosed details about the product from their collaboration, but Oakley can bridge the gap between high-tech and a sporty pair of eyewear.

The hardware of Google Glass is available in prescription frames, can project your internet connection, and send emails, video and more which is displayed on a tiny screen above the right eye.

Google Glass is currently available to beta-testers for $1500. The company has not not stated prices or release dates for a publicly available version.

Google has addressed the issue that many people have had about how Glass looks. The frames may now be an unique combination of high-tech, style, and sports gear.
