Free Apps & Games: Dead Space, Printer Pro & More

Dead SpaceAmazon is giving out Petting Zoo, an interactive picture book from Christoph Niemann for Android for free. Regularly available for $2.99 USD, Petting Zoo promises surprises and fun for all ages along with a healthy dose of humor because “No english (is) required; animals don’t speak English”.

The app is highly rated with praise from both critics and users. There is no indication of when the sale ends.

For PC gamers, EA horror game Dead Space is being given away for free on Origin until May 8th. Dead Space is a third person shooter set in the aftermath of a the shipwrecked USG Ishimura which has been infested with alien horrors called Necromorphs. It is your task as Isaac Clarke to embark on a rescue mission to find survivors, amongst which may be the woman you love. The game is regularly priced at $19.99 USD.

Also free for PC is World War 2: Time of Wrath courtesy of GamersGate. The game is a hex-based 4x game, similar to Civilization V but set entirely during WW2 in Europe and North Africa.  The game receives fairly good ratings (average of 4 stars out of 5) from its users. No word on when the sale ends but the game is usually sold at $19.99 USD.

Users of the iOS platform can grab Printer Pro from Readle for free as well. The app allows the user to print from their iPhones using the “Open in…” list. Users can also print websites by replacing “http:” in the URL with “phttp:”. Web based documents can be printed in the same way and the app works with Google Drive and Dropbox as well. The app is normally priced at $4.99 USD. This sale ends in 48 hours.
