Fall Out Boy Mixes Uma Thurman & The Munsters On New Release

Fall Out Boy released a new song, “Uma Thurman,” from their project American Beauty/American Psycho late Sunday, Jan. 11. The full album is scheduled for release Tuesday, Jan. 20, but the band has released five songs available now with a $7.99 preorder of the album from iTunes.

In addition to “Uma Thurman,” the other songs already released are “Centuries,” “Irresistible,” “American Beauty/American Psycho,” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright.”

“Uma Thurman” uses a sample from The Munsters TV show, and Pete Wentz said on the band’s website that the song was fun to write.

Rolling Stone reported that the actress approved it.

“To me, Uma Thurman and Winona Ryder,” Wentz wrote, “they were these women in pop culture who were quirky, but that made me only crush on them harder.”

He said the song was inspired by Thurman in Kill Bill, and he explores what a man would do to win her affections.
