Dremel Rotary Tool Being Recalled Due To Burn & Injury Hazards

The Robert Bosch Tool Corp. is recalling 92,000 units of their Dremel® MICRO™ Model 8050 Rotary Tool due to burn & injury hazards.

The main issue is that the tool’s circuit board can overheat and melt the handle, burning consumers.

In addition, it has also been discovered that the tool can change speeds while in use and even start on it’s own, which can injure users.

The tools were sold nationwide at Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes & other home improvement stores.

The  recalled Dremel® MICRO™ Model 8050 Rotary tools bear date codes 407 through 505.

Consumers with a defective product can call the Robert Bosch Tool Corp. at 855-866-1291 between 8 A.M. (EST) and 8 P.m. (EST) Monday through Friday to see about having it repaired.

You can also go to to the Dremel website and click on “Customer Service & Safety Information” for more information.
