Destiny Midnight Launch: Where & When To Get Your Copy

Destiny Midnight Launch: Where & When To Get Your Copy

The long awaited Destiny by Bungie software launches this Tuesday, and if you can’t wait to get your hands on it, GameStop is holding nationwide midnight launch events.

Over 4000 GameStop stores will be opening up their doors to eager fans on the evening of September the 8th, and if you’d like to be one of them you can find a participating venue here.

The midnight launch follows massive pre-orders, with the title becoming the most pre-ordered new IP in GameStop history.

Destiny is the latest game from Bungie, best known for their work on the Xbox Halo franchise. This time around they have moved away from their exclusive deal with Microsoft, and Destiny will be available across PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The action in Destiny is set in the far future, long after the collapse of an advanced human civilization. Players take the role of a Guardian, an elite force protecting the last Human city.

Gameplay is heavily geared around online co-operative play, and Bungie have made much about the massively multiplayer online world that players will explore.

It remains to be seen if the gameplay can live up to the hype, but one thing is for sure: we don’t have long left until we find out!

Are you planning to attend a midnight launch, or are you waiting to see if the hype is justified? Join the discussion below and let us know.
