Cheap Smartphone From Sprint Goes On Sale 6/14 – The LG Optimus F3

LG Optimus F3, Sprint's new, cheap, smartphoneSprint is preparing to launch a new, cheap, smartphone: the LG Optimus F3.

This is a low-cost smartphone that comes with respectable features. It has a 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800×480, a dual-core ARM CPU processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, a 2,460 mAh battery, and a 5 mega-pixel rear camera.

The phone is also LTE compatible.

The LG Optimus F3 will cost $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, with the purchase of a new two-year Sprint contract.

The price tag makes the phone the cheapest smartphone that works with Sprint LTE.

Apart from native applications featured in the phone, Sprint has also added Google’s TalkBack. TalkBack is a text-to-speech app designed to help consumers who are visually impaired interact easier with their phones.

The carrier says those who’re vision-impaired or blind will be able to set up the phone easily. Introducing the F3, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse, described the smartphone as being “uniquely empowering for people with disabilities.”

Sprint will start selling LG Optimus F3 through its online store on June 14th.

The phone will arrive at brick and mortar stores of the carrier later.

Two color options are available – purple and silver.

What do you think of the LG Optimus F3?
