Apple Launches Apple Music, Beats 1 Radio And iOS 8.4

On Tuesday morning Apple launched Apple Music, the company’s all new premium streaming music service, introduced at their annual Worldwide Developers Conference in early June. Additionally, Apple also released iOS 8.4 and Beats 1 Radio.

Apple Music is an on-demand music streaming service, similar to Spotify, offering users unlimited access to millions of songs for $9.99 per month. Apple also offers a family plan option for $14.99 per month, which allows up to 6 people to share the service.

Tuesday’s iOS 8.4 update allows for immediate access to Apple Music, and can be downloaded for free over wi-fi from an iOS device’s Settings menu, or via iTunes. In addition to Apple Music support, the update also provides a major facelift to the built-in Music app in iOS, including artist pictures, personalized playlists and a new search tool.

Apple Music was launched alongside Beats 1 Radio, a 24-hour live music station. Beats 1 Radio is a free service, and is available now on all iOS devices.
