3 Amazing Asian Restaurants In Boston

The food scene has truly blossomed in the past decade, with no small influence from its Asian restaurants.

To Bostonians, good food is unpretentious, delicious and affordable.  Three hot spots around the city qualify perfectly.

Koreana

Koreana is the premier Korean restaurant in Boston. Located between historical Harvard and MIT, it is a favorite among students.

The best item is the Korean barbecue- scrumptious roasted pork, pickled cabbage (Kim chi) and a spicy red paste wrapped in a crisp lettuce leaf. A dinner for two at Koreana ranges from 40-50 dollars.

The Dumpling House

In the heart of Boston’s Chinatown, a few blocks off an Orange line stop, is the pinnacle of Chinese food in Boston. The Dumpling House has an extensive menu, serving both Northern and Southern style Chinese cuisine.

First time visitors should obviously try the dumplings. The pork and cabbage dumplings are fabulous, though vegetarian options are also served. Be sure to arrive early. A long line forms down the streets every night around 5pm. A typical meal for two is $40.

Pikaichi

A forty minute ride on Boston’s green line is worth the wait for one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. Pikaichi is located in a innocent looking Asian food court, near Boston University.

This small, friendly restaurant opens its doors to a wave of customers looking for one thing – Ramen. While the limited menu does have rice dishes, it boasts mouth-watering ramen with homemade noodles and flavorful broth. You can get a bowl of this heaven for less than $9.
