Predictions:

After Marin Cilic’s win last year the men’s side feels more open than it has in recent years.

Watch out for Stan Wawrinka, Kei Nishikori and Grigor Dimitrov as possible threats to upset the favorites,

That being said, Federer, Djokivic and Murray are all still heavily favored to win, with Djokivic expected to take it all.

For the women it is all about Serena Williams, who at 33 years of age is poised to win her 1st Grand Slam.

Serena has won all 3 major events this year, and has won the Open for 3 years running, so this is her tournament to lose.

She is also the #1 seed once again and has only lost 1 set in each of the past 3 years when ranked #.

She will have some competition from Belinda Bencic and Sloane Stephens; Maria Sharapova has dropped out with a lingering leg injury.

Bencic is one of 2 women this year to defeat a #1 seed in tournament play and Stephens, though inconsistent, beat William at the 2013 Australian Open to get to the semi-finals.

If Williams can keep her nerves in check, this tournament should be hers- but anything can happen so tune in to see how it all turns out.
