Here are the key matches to watch for:

Women:

Serena Williams-vs-Kaia Kanepi: match play after 11 A.M. (EST), Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Williams has looked rock-steady during this tournament and is undefeated in her 3 previous meetings with Kanepi, although their last meeting was over 5 years ago,

Kanepi just upset the #15 seed, Carla Suarez,  but Serena is just 1 win away from the quarterfinals and appears unbeatable.

Williams in straight sets: 6-4, 6-2.

The other women’s match to watch is Ekaterina Makarova-vs-Eugenie Bouchard (match play after 11 A.M. (EST).

Men:

Novak Djokovic-vs-Phillipp Kohlschreiber: (match play after 11 A.M. (EST), Louie Armstrong Stadium.

Djokovic has looked nothing short of spectacular throughout this tournament, playing only 72 games thus far.

He just beat Sam Querrey, a match where he only lost 7 games, so things are not looking good for Kohlschreiber, who has played well at 31 years of age, but is coming up against an unstoppable force.

Djokovic in straight sets: 6-3, 6-3, 6-2.

Fans will also want to watch Jo Wilfried-Tsonga play  Andy Murray (match play after 11 A.M. (EST).

Here are the highlights from day 7:

For the women, day 7 brought about the stunning defeat of the heavily favored Maria Sharapova at the hands of Caroline Wozniacki 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, Sara Errani beat Mirjan Lucic Baroni 6-3, 2-6, 6-0 and Belinda Bencic eliminated Jelena Jankovic  7-6, 6-3.
