2014 Olympics Preview – What’s On TV Tonight

The 2014 Olympics  are nearing their conclusion, but there is still plenty  of events left and medals to be handed out.

NBC’s prime time line-up for tonight features: Men’s Alpine Skiing – Giant Slalom (Gold Medal Final), Women’s Bobsled (Gold Medal Final), Men’s Snowboarding – Parallel Giant Slalom (Gold Medal Final).

NBC’s prime time coverage airs from 8-11:30 Eastern Standard Time.

In the Men’s Alpine Skiing – Giant Slalom (Gold Medal Final) Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway will not be competing.

He won 3 medals in the previous Olympics in Vancouver but had failed to medal in Sochi.  He has been battling allergies and felt the best thing to do was rest and focus on the World Games instead.

In the Women’s Bobsled (Gold Medal Final) Elana Meyers and Lauryn Williams of the United States are favored to win, despite having a mishap during their training run on Saturday.

There bobsled went off track and hit a wall, but both women are confident that will not happen again.

Finally, the  Men’s Snowboarding – Parallel Giant Slalom (Gold Medal Final) once again is expected to be dominated by Ted Ligety and Bode Miller, both competing for the United States.

Ligety is the reigning world champion and Miller has the most medals for the U.S. in Olympic competition.

As always you can also view live coverage streaming 24 hours a day at NBCOlympics.com.
